At the end of September 2022, Silicon Valley Innovation Center (SVIC) organized a five-day program for Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources (MIM) Ecosystem leaders. The program showed the honored guests how innovation and disruption concepts can be used in their ecosystem.

One of the key points of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 is innovation and how it can transform economic and industrial sectors of the Kingdom. So, on September 26th, Saudi MIM Ecosystem leaders came to Silicon Valley to learn best practices from the most innovative companies. SVIC organized 12 sessions with the leading companies of Silicon Valley that gave the necessary answers.

Within five days guests from Saudi Arabia visited and talked to representatives of Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Zoom, Silicon Valley Bank, Cisco, Piva, Lucid Motors, Nvidia and Jabil, and saw how innovations are working for business success and development.

SVIC President and Founder, Dr. Andrey Kunov, led a session on how to build a billion dollar company and highlighted the importance of disruptive innovation. Program participants also discussed how big companies are working with start-ups, what the future holds for manufacturing and how to successfully use innovations in business.

H.E Osama Abdulaziz Alzamil, Vice Minister of Industry & Mineral Resources shared his thoughts:

“It was a really wonderful experience that was beyond my expectations in terms of content. The program gave a lot of insights on how to be a leader with entrepreneurial and innovative spirit and thinking. It changed even the way I think about the future and how I can work with my colleagues. We are really in start-up mode now.”

On the 3rd day of the program there was also a dinner with Saudi Students from Stanford University. “They are very bright, and we look forward to seeing them working in the industrial sector,” H.E Khalid M. Al-Salem, Chief Executive Officer at RCJI said

The five-day program taught the participants to think innovatively, and helped move the Vision 2030 one step closer to becoming a Reality for the Saudi MIM ecosystem.
