Rockstar IT’s executives had just one day to spend in Silicon Valley, but wanted to make the most of that time by meeting a range of companies in the area. Their learning objectives were to gain a deeper understanding of Silicon Valley innovation culture and take home insights into emerging technologies.
What We Did
SVIC built a one-day program for Rockstar IT. We included sessions on Silicon Valley business culture and its mantra of “disrupt or be disrupted”. With that as a primer, the Rockstar team were then ready to dive deeper, with expert sessions on applications of technologies such as artificial intelligence and internet of things. Last but certainly not least, the executives were able to see how theory translates into practice with visits to two of the Valley’s most prominent companies: Goolge and HP.
Results & Outcomes
In just a day the Rockstar group was able to experience the many facets of Silicon Valley. With the visit to HP they learned how legacy technology companies have evolved to become leaders of the internet age. The meeting of Google provided a more contemporary perspective, while the expert technology and business model sessions showed Rockstar IT what changes they can expect – to industries including their own – in future.
