Chief among GPLG’s learning priorities was self-driving cars. The company wanted to understand the current state of the technology, its evolution and its prospects for the future. In addition, executives from the company sought a general introduction into the Silicon Valley culture of innovation and digital business models.
What We Did
SVIC designed and executed a three-day program for GPLG. The sessions covered a range of topics, including digital transformation within the automotive sector, artificial intelligence, and 3D printing. The GPLG team gained a broad view on the future of autonomous vehicles, hearing not just about the car industry itself, but also about the evolution of the technologies fuelling the self-driving revolution.
Results & Outcomes
From the companies building the technologies for autonomous vehicles, GPLG learned how the self-driving sector is evolving and what its future holds. But in addition to that focused mission, GPLG also gained an understanding of how innovation works in Silicon Valley. Those learnings came from meetings at companies like Google and HP, and from institutions such as Stanford University.
